Pastors Robb & Cheri Stancer have been in full time ministry for over 20 years, and have served in the metro Detroit area since 1993. In 2010, God called them to plant a church to serve the western suburbs, and on December 18th, 2010, Destiny Worship Center had its first service.
Pastor Robb is a graduate of Friends University, and his music studies have been the springboard for his passion to present the Gospel message in creative ways through illustrated sermons, drama, multi-media, and music. A worshipper at his core, Pastor Robb’s desire is that believers live each day of their lives in intimacy with God, and in expectation that He is faithful to fulfill His promises!
Pastor Cheri is an alumnae of Central Bible College, a ‘Preacher’s Kid,’ a mom, and a mentor. Together with Pastor Robb, she has pastored in youth, singles, and motorcycle ministries, and leads Destiny’s women’s ministry, FLAVOR. In the midst of juggling her roles as a mother, a pastor, and a job in corporate America, Pastor Cheri’s heart is to equip the women of God and the body of Christ to live victoriously, and to walk in the fullness of who God has created us to be!
Elders & Leaders
Elder Rory Guvetis owns AGI construction. He and his wife Amina, who is working toward her Master’s degree, reside in Dearborn with their 2 young sons.
Elder Kurt Holthus and his wife Debi are the founders of Hope International Ministries. They divide their time between Fort Myers, Florida, the Dominican Republic, and traveling throughout the United States sharing Hope’s mission.
James and Graziella Bruner oversee the Ushers and Security at Destiny. James owns Bruner Plumbing & Heating, and Graziella is a successful broker with Remerica Premier. They reside in Wayne, and serve extensively in the body of Christ.
Mary Mayberry, head of Destiny’s First Contact ministry, is a Color Management Analyst for Ford Motor Company. She has served in ministry for over 20 years, and resides in Taylor.
Marcia Novak, owner of Dinner Belle Catering, provides Destiny’s key administrative support. She has served in various ministries for more than 30 years, and resides in Allen Park with her husband, Ernie.
